Raised in an upper middle class family by his paternal grandparents, Aeson had an unusual childhood. His mother left his father when he was a baby, and his father was too emotionally unstable to raise his ex's child by himself. Ace was raised to hate Slytherins, and as all of his dad's family were Gryffindors, he never questioned why they resented one house with so much passion. Little did he know, the real reason his dad always resented Slytherins was that Ace's mother was one. The bottled up resentment his father felt for being rejected eventually got taken out on Aeson, and his dad was sent to St. Mungo's multiple times for psychiatric help. Aeson is a bit mentally aloof because of his father's actions.

Although he has always been generally unaware of his power, Aeson often has prophetic dreams and visions, yet thinks nothing of them or never remembers them. His grandmother enjoyed entertaining herself with more traditional forms of divination, like astrology and astronomy, and got Aeson into those when he was growing up. In school, Divinations was always his best subject.

In his later years at Hogwarts, Ace got into a relationship with a Slytherin girl. Although he loved her, he always felt conflicted as he was raised to loathe Slytherins. Even after they both graduated school and had a daughter together, their relationship remained rocky. Now that Aeson is slightly more mature, his main goals are to be good at his job, to excel as a parent, and on their good days, maintain a stable relationship with his girlfriend.
