Name: Alexander Lyzander Catley
Wanted Position: Fifth Year Hufflepuff
Abilities: Psychometrist
History: Alexander's parents were neither poor nor rich. Average, rather. They'd been of a mixed blood. His mother was a witch, whilst his father was a muggle. Much of his extended family was the same. They'd fallen in love, or at least lust, and so he came to be on April 22. However, things didn't work a well as a Lifetime movie that most muggle women in their thirties and fourties might watch. Nay. In fact, his father was completely astounded by the fact that his mother was a witch, and left them entirely. His mother likes to say that she turned him into stone and dropped him off the side of a bridge, but Alexander hopes that it was a joke. He could never be too sure though, what with his mother's addiction to bourbon and wine after she'd given birth. She said the only reason she'd not gotten into it before was because she didn't want to have a child with defects. It was a truth enough, though it left him feeling dissatisfied. She probably would have been drinking still, as an alcoholic, but alas! She'd gotten pregnant once more, this time through a wizard Alexander had never heard of before. She ended up marrying him, and they'd had his younger sister. His siter, on the other hand, looked like their new father, Darren, who was full of black hair and tan skin. It was obvious that Alex neither looked liked his mother nor his new mother. Still, he'd never met his real father, to the point that it was good enough to accept that he'd left the country. It was no interest of his though, so he'd not cared. Darren was strangely stable, financially, so he'd been happy enough afterward. His sister was sorted into Gryffindor, just like her father. His mother, on the other hand, was in Slytherin.
His schooling progressed throughout the world normally. However, it became apparent through his grades that his heart wasn't into it. He was getting grades much lower than his potential, but seemed to be undisturbed by this. Finally, he told his parents of his lack of interest in magical studies, and that he felt more alive in Muggle cities. However, he wasn't ready to get rid of the convenience of magic. In his third year, he'd discovered his ability of psychometry. It wasn't as pretty or powerful as spellwork, or perhaps elementalism. It also wasn't as useful. There's nothing quite like knowing the history of a History book to keep your weekends filled up. Still, he found the ability amazing, and used it to either help people in either way he could, or just for fun. If someone thought someone else stole something of theirs, it was easy for him to find out who had stolen what.
Currently, Alexander spends his time trying to keep himself interested in his world, as his parents wish. Lately, its not been too hard. The mystery of the murders going about was both horrifying and titillating. What if his sister or he was next? Maybe danger wasn't so bad.
Physical Description: Alexander Catley is a short, happy person for the most part. Not exactly fitting in with the other people of his age, due to his lack of aged looks, he tends to feel out of place. He has short auburn hair, and only approaches around five feet at all. Due to his short height, he's often confused for being in a younger year, such as third or fourth. Annoyingly, he takes it all in his stride, despite his lack of tolerance at times. All in all, however, he's usually seen trying to fit in with people his age, and trying to be as social as possible. His smiles are either real or forced, but never without a use. He's fairly a normal person, with problems, and he tries not to, but he tends to wear his heart on his sleeve. So, people can always see when he's upset or not.
Alexander wears formal clothing when supposed to, but comfortable non-formal robes around the school on days he had off. He's not fond of wearing his class robes all that much, and tries to find a reason to wear something else instead, on most occasions. He is, apart from his height issue, average on the "good looks" department. He was by all means not startingly handsome, but was luckily not horribly ugly. Possibly due to being so short, Alexander keeps himself in as good as shape as he can. He's not athletic, however, and doesn't exactly enjoy any wizarding, or muggle, sports. He keeps himself fit through eating well, and not indulging pointlessly in sweets. He's never as wide or bulky as he'd like to be, though he'd never admit to it, but is far too lazy or unmotivated to change things. He keeps himself clean shaven, and thinks facial hair is a bit scraggly. Alexander tries to keep a smile for others, especially with all the murders taking place.
Other: Alexander is less-interested in the Magical World, so much as his Psychometry.
