Sue walked into the Dueling Hall, and found herself alone. Hmm. she thought. I would think there would be more people here. She walked around, getting familiar with the room. It looked like it hadn't been used in quite a while. How strange... You would think that a place like this would be used more often. Sue just looked around, admiring some of the architecture of the room. A small sound echoed off the walls coming from her far left. "Hello?" She called. No answer. "Hello?" She walked over to where the noise came from. Nothing there... "Hello?" Sue decided it must've been nothing, maybe a fallen object or something. She took out her wand, and began to pretend to duel with an invisible person. Maybe someone would come in and challenge her. It would be nice to have someone to beat in a duel again.

Miranda had been hiding out in the dueling hall these past few days to avoid the utter dismay of classes and the repercussions of not attending three last week. No one ever seemed to be in there anymore, which she thought was strange. After all the verge of some sort of war was on the news all the time. The Ministry getting attacked the school and too many other countless things that made anyone go a bit mad. Her sister was in class, this year it seemed they where drifting a bit, not being together all the time. It was okay though, Miranda had fun wondering the castle, and indeed love to cause trouble so when someone wondered in unexpected she smirked. ”Hello?...Hello…Hello?,,, Miranda held her breath a bit, sure perhaps it was not smart to push someone like that, after all the things she just considered. However letting the girl feel alone was good enough for her fun time now. Indeed she must have heard her, and those blasted shoes the school made them wear did not help being silent as a click from the same corner came again. Low whisper, “Silanceio” she muttered barely under her breath, hoping to keep her shoes quiet. Then she noticed the girl… Had they met before? Damn… It was better to play pranks on someone who did not know your name… All well, Miranda had gone into it, she was going to see what else she could do. She took the dust from the corner, masked by shade of some strange equipment, likely a target of some sort; she blew it out of her hand and cast a spell. It swirled around, not harmful, but scary looking and picket up speed and sounded like a terrible storm headed right for Sue. Miranda smile a little, hoping not to make to big of a deal of things she slipped past behind another statue of something large and ominous looking and waited for a moment.

Sue wasn't wrong when she thought she heard something. It was definetly a person. A silencing charm had just missed her. And some sort of strange spell was flying towards her now. Sue didn't flinch. Not at all. She didn't even think. "Protego." She said and the sheild charm burst from her wanding, keeping at bay hwatever it was that was heading for her. Then, through the mist of her sheild, she saw a figure moving- a girl. She looked closer. Wasn't that the girl she met in the Great Hall? Miranda. Sue smiled, knowing she had an opponent, and someone she knew. "Stupefy."she whispered and sent the stunning spell at Miranda. It was alright, she tried not to make it too strong so it wouldn't hurt her. After it hit her, if it hit her, Sue would approach and mutter the countercurse so that she could actually face her opponenet. Before her spell could hit her friend, Sue called out. "Hey Miranda!" She seemed to startle her, and she giggled as she watched her spell go right towards the spot between Miranda's eyes.

This was the exact moment for the eyes to roll. First Sue thought that a silencing charm would miss, yea right. Miranda cast that on her own shoes, and did not miss anything on that count. Her shoes were silent, the exact plan. Then her silly attempt to protect herself from Miranda’s illusion of terror. Yes, Miranda did roll her eyes once more. Her fun silly gestures where falling down on slight irritation.
Stupefy? Really? Miranda could not help but laugh at such a sad fact. Clearly the large and ominous looking statue that she hid behind was now gone, because Sue had a direct aim at her face. Between those now annoyed childish eyes that rolled to show irritation. Her wand up blocked the spell with not even a flinch.
“Yea, what? You come to the duel hall with those weak spells?” Miranda was sweet, but one also had to remember she came from a long line of dark arts, and her parents did influence her just as much as she did not admit. Dueling sometimes got the best of her, and this looked like a situation that called for it. “I am only a third year and got more skill than that.” However good thing her grammar was not on trial. “So why you down here?” She asked her wand still out, like she was ready to take her shot. In fact it was natural and almost instinctual, because she did not even realize she had her wand up and at point at the moment.
Miranda was indeed not startled by this, but perhaps Sue would be at the sudden change of pace Miranda now had given. Moody did run in the family.
(OOC: sorry, I know that my post is mean, and I admit that I am placing some of my frustrations in her voice, but clearly you missed a lot in my previous post. I admit I am in a bad mood, and this is my vent.)

((OOC: that's cool, I know the feeling.) Sue tried not to laugh as Miranda called her weak. She truly wasn't, but just wasn't at her strongest point at the moment. And she actually didn't want to hurt Miranda, so she went easy on the spells. Using something as brutal as Sectumsempra, would be quite cruel, and could leave her opponent dead if she couldn't defend herself fast enough. Miranda asked what she was doing here. "Nothing. I was quite bored actually, and surprised at how little this room's been used. How long would you say it's been since the last big duel in here?" she asked curiously. Obviously, it had been a long time. If it hadn't been, then why was there so much dust? And even the floor had no scuff marks from shoes or anything of the sorts. No dirt, not a thing. It was as if the whole place had just been.... abandoned. That was pretty sad. It's a pretty useful place, why let it go to such waste?

Clearly her actions and words were feel on the dumb, death or blind. Miranda did not know what of the three this girl was. Sure a short conversation in the great hall was simple, and sweet. Granted that Miranda wanted to get out of class at the time, but this was her time now, and her place to chill. The dueling hall, so many duels and far to many injury that added to much insult and mockery. No she had not seen it used since she was a student. However they did have a very busy dueling coach. Great one too, after all who better then the deputy ministress of magic?
In fact she was sure it was used, but not recently because of the hospital time that said person had, being attacked did that to someone. It went to show it did not matter how strong you are, in the right situation someone can get the jump on you. Miranda had been taught that along with, never find yourself in such a situation.
“A few months, I am sure they will pick it back up once the ministry is done all their crap.” She said, sure that Sue was not all into the politics of things. Miranda took part in it, because she learned that being in the loop was part of the battle. “As for big duels I am sure that Hogwarts would avoid such things. They are here to protect and teach, remember?” Taunting and annoyed sounding she did not think Sue would even notice, she seemed a bit… out of touch.
“So you come to duel down here or chat?” she said Miranda’s wand never had moved, she had just noticed it herself. School, proper duel techniques, clean fight… she thought briefly, her parents had taught her, her sister and her brother much different ways.
