I realize I haven't done Activity Checks regularly because of school, but it seems even if I had done them regularly it wouldn't have mattered. So I'm going to make Activity Checks a little stricter.
From now on any and all accounts on the Dead Accounts list will need to be active for 2 months before being allowed to reclaim their full titles and powers. Then if they once again go inactive for more than two months they will lose the option of regaining said titles and powers, most likely permanently.
Accounts on the Inactive Accounts list will need to be active for one month before being allowed to regain their titles and powers unless they were inactive for only one month.
Even if you stalk the site you will be put on the inactive list if you do not post in Activity Checks. I don't want to hear that you have no where to post - there are plenty of boards. I don't want to hear that you have no one to post with, there are other members besides you. Find somewhere to post and post. Students have absolutely no excuse for not posting, there are tons of you! Professors, post with your fellow staff - you're not just 'teachers'. Teachers have lives too, families, friends, etc. Get lives outside your classrooms and make this site slightly more realistic, it'll help you enjoy your character more too.
If you have no set rp friend then try to make your post somewhere public and in a manner that would allow someone else to join. Also, adding [Open] to your title would be beneficial, especially if you usually only rp with (a) certain person(s).
If your 'muse'/inspiration is dead then try to post and if you absolutely can't post a thread OOC about something, participate in OOC games, if you're school, student, or ministry staff, post your opinions and ideas in the Important Plot Stuff category. Do something with at least one character if you have more. Because from now on it is unacceptable to simply lurk or to post without actually doing anything.

I'm sorry I have to make the AC rules so much stricter, but I am really saddened with all the inactivity, especially when some members have done a great deal to advertise our site. Advertising our site is a huge help, yet when members are inactive the people who check out our site aren't interested and all that advertising effort goes to waste. I'd really like to see more activity, new members, and a movement in our site plot. It's been sitting mostly stagnant for over a year now which is completely unacceptable, but it can't go very far without activity on the site.
I even had Fallon attacked to try to stir up some activity, I was happy to see that had a slightly bigger effect (thank you Juniper, Emrys, and George) but this plot is not just for adults, I'd like to see students affected by the news too whether it be shock, awe, anger, excitement, even indifference. The members of this site, here and past ones, have complained about wanting site-wide plots, ones that involve more people, but then no one takes part. I don't post the news reports for my benefit, I do it so everyone can stay on top of the plot and find thread topics, a place to jump into said plot, ways to incorporate it into their rp life.
If no one wants to do that, perhaps it's best if we no longer have site plots and simply let you all stay in your comfort zones with a handful of familiar people rping out the same thread topics and story lines and never growing as rpers, a site, or a community? If activity does not pick up - both site traffic and actual posting activity I will strongly consider this an option and will no longer work on a site plot and I might even get rid of certain activities such as dances and any other future events I had planned. It's not worth it to put in effort and have no one participate.
Now having said this, I realize that rl is a problem, as it has been for myself, and I realize there are those of you who have tried very hard to be active. Thank you to those who have been active and to those who have real lives getting in the way, I understand the issue, but I'm running a site that can't exist without active members. I will be as understanding and lenient as I can be, but the site and the active members are my main concern and if I feel something would be detrimental to the site, the members, or their plots I will put my foot down, end of story.
I'm not trying to be mean or Nazi-ish, I just want this site to move forward and become that community everyone keeps talking about, but I can't do it by myself. A site is nothing without it's members - the admin is there to move things along smoothly, but the rpers are the ones who decide what the site is and what the admin moves along usually. So please, help me out. Be active, participate in the plots, in the events, give ideas and suggestions - it never hurts! Even if your ideas and suggestions aren't used they will always be looked at and considered and may spark an idea in someone else for something even better that you hadn't considered, but would like even more. So stop sitting on the sidelines and get into the game! >.>;;

Just drawing attention to this again in case you didn't all see it before since the newest activity check will go up in just a few days!
