(ooc Thanks so much! I really needed a fresh one lol )
Janet smiled, she was happy that Matt was getting a bit more comfy up a few hundred feet off the ground. She loved being in the clouds, up so high that you could not see the ground, it was like you where truly alone and did not have anything to bring you down. Janet knew that it might have sounded strange to explain, but she was sure that someone had to understand that freedom.
She liked it when Matt was complaining about the lessons, “yea especially to muggle born, that was insulting, because everyone who knew about magic looks at you like you are some idiot.” She said frowning a little bit. “But hey that is in the past anyway. I am sure they are doing better now right?” she joked really, knowing that curriculum rarely seemed to change that much. Sure a new professor taught differently but it was all the same boring stuff day in and day out. It was nothing compared to being in the middle of it all.
“I am impressed.” She smiled, then he joked about out flying her, “You could try.” She laughed a little, she did love a challenge. “My cat shadow could take you.” She laughed a little again, her cat was part magical, and honestly was not really hers, it roamed Hogwarts all the time. Shadow was her’s when she was a first year, but now she was his in some ways. That cat had a mind of its own.
“O, you know what very few people have ever asked me that, I would tell them I liked the challenge. However that is just a showpiece I think. Really I started when I was trying to get out of the past, and start something new. I guess you could say I have way to much energy.” She laughed, “At try outs they said I was brutal, but skilled at being a beater. This year I changed to chaser to be more of a team player, and apparently it was a good change because I somehow managed to become captain.” She said speaking with her hands, like she was not even on a broom, she had complete control of it, without even trying, but that was how she was, never stop until it is perfect…
“I think that flying gives you such an advantage, maybe it is the muggle in me, wanting to break the limits in a way. My folks love it when I fly home at night, I even wore a bit hat to get them really going. “ she said having a stronger relationship with her parents since going back last year to visit them.

-- Matt once again smiled at Janet's smile. She had been smiling a lot lately, and it made him truly happy. Matt was slowly working his way into smiling more too, there was so much to be happy about now. Even though his past was a difficult one, it had just made him stronger, and that much more determined to succeed. Janet was a muggle born? He hadn't known that about here. Well, they had been in the same boat, although muggle borns were typically regarded as a higher class than lycans, or creatures. Well, at least to him it seemed like that.
-- "Well, they're all stupid." Matt said playfully. "Eh, I doubt it." He continued, smirking. Hogwarts was set in it's ways, whether that was for the better, or for the worse. A few changes wouldn't hurt anyone. Surely, it would just better the students who wanted a fresh curriculum and fresh ideas. All the professors were ancient and didn't really care that much anymore. They knew their lesson plans by hear, and probably taught them in their sleep.
-- All he could do was laugh. "Well, you cat would be no match for Matt the lycan." He said chuckling. "Although, I probably have to be the nicest lycan you ever come across." She assured her smiling. He didn't care for being a lycan, and one time he hated it, had been ashamed of what he was. He was slightly surprised when Janet told him the real reason why she started quidditch. "Well, congratulations, once again. You definitely have a knack for flying." He said honestly. Not everyone could fly as well as Janet could
-- Matt almost gasped when she first let go of her broom, seemingly oblivious to it as she talked with her hands. But she had clearly done this before, lots of times. And as much as she flew, and especially since she was in quidditch, it was probably impossible to get her knocked off of her broom. Matt was sure the next gust of wind could probably knock him off balance. "That's so cool." He said grinning. "My parents forbid me to phase in the muggle world. Not that I mind. I barely phase at all. But they can go gallivanting through the forest anytime they want." He ranted, but his tone was light, and not at all upset.

Janet enjoyed talking to Matt, they had much in common, in terms of things, and did not require huge explanations either. They seemed to take things at face value. Their first meeting was blunt and to the point, where Janet basically admitted to wanting to kill him, for no other reason but who he was. She had learned so much more though, and that hatred was really the killer. She also had to think about what had made her so angry in the first place?
However that was not a far leap from the present, where she had her own problem to deal with, the professor with a secret desire to eat the students… makes for one hell of a reunion.
“Well they have been though a lot. I think that after time they just accepted it. And to be honest they might have just been happy to see me come home. When my brother died I couldn’t bare to see them. I blamed myself.” She said with a sigh, It had been some time since she thought about Terry. Too long in fact, it was just another turn in events that made you wonder what was going on in the world after all.
“You know that is where urban legends come from, we are history in the making, fact of fiction…. Yea my folks love those things now and ask me if big foot is real.” She said giggling a little. Next they would ask her about the tooth fairy, and perhaps the Easter Bunny. Well she couldn’t blame them, knowing that creatures and demons exist (not as true to the stories but some rather close) it was only natural t want the good hearted tales to be true too.
“So how you holding up? Not too bad up here is it? Quiet, peaceful and fresh. “ She said moving around Matt, slightly showing off as she sat semi straight and with no hands on the broom and was talking. She worked on flying all the time, and in fact this was one of the first things she did to train, no handed flying. It was mind over matter in some aspects, and others it was all heart.

-- Matt was able to identify the strange feeling in his stomach. It was peacefulness. He hadn't been this at ease in a very long time it seemed. Of course he wasn't nervous in school, but he just felt so carefree and easy. And happy. He couldn't forget the feeling of happiness. Maybe he could say he had a bit of a crush on Janet. But of course he would never admit it to anyone. Matt would always remember their first meeting. Where she had amitted that she would've killed him, just for being a lycan. But he knew that she wouldn't, and that part of her life was over. Matt hadn't even had an uneasy feeling when she told him that. He just knew she wouldn't. He couldn't picture Janet killing anyone, or anything.
-- He nodded, listening to her. Her brother had died? "Wow Janet, I'm really sorry to hear that." Matt said, his eyes clouding with sorrow. Even though he had no idea who her brother was, or how he died or anything. But he could see the grief on her face, and the guilt. But the mood was lifted. It must have been a while ago that her brother had passed away. Matt was an only child, but he knew that if he did, and they died he would be a wreck forever. And he couldn't even bare to think of what would happen to him if something happened to one of his parents.
-- "That sounds so much better than just saying I'm a lycan. I'm no going around introducing myself as Matt Adams, the urban legend." He said laughing. "I'd argue that boogfoot is real. Just look at some of the students here." Matt added, grinning. There were the students that played pranks and were very mischevious. And some were just plain hairy. "I'm better. I don't feel as if I'm going to plummit to my death at any moment." Matt said grinning. And all he could do was stare wide-eyed at Janet as she flew around with no hands, and talking on top of that. "I have absolutely no idea how you do that. Sometimes I can barely walk and talk at the same time." He shook his head, chuckling.

If Janet had not lived her own past she would not believe her either. She did not like to talk about it, and who really would? She had a string of good luck in her life too, and she could not deny that either. She could have been killed a long time ago, so young and naive. She often wondered what would have happened in her life if she had taken a different path, but there was no way of ever knowing. One things she often thought was how different it would be if magic never entered her world.
“It’s okay, I think that was the real turning point for me, Terry was a ghost, but I haven’t seen him in quite some time. Funny to think my little brother stayed away for me to get a better grip on reality.” She smiled, sincere but not a happy one, and no one could blame her for that. “I am sure he will come around again. Maybe that is why I am not a complete train wreck.” She shrugged having stopped flying around him she sat on her broom relaxed and not seeming to be aware that she was even in the air.
“See you could have your own TV show, however the Ministry might put some taps on that.” She said having been in the ministry for brief statements and debriefing about her terms of recivilization. Yes, she was pretty sure that was not a real term either. However when they have your life in their hands, school or Azkaban your going to go with what you can get.
“Eh, as long as he doesn’t bother me, we’ll be cool.” She said about Bigfoot. Te footage was always funny to watch, a muffled bad angle of some big thing moving, magic did not even need to be used for that!
“Well I will be honest, I put a charm on your broom, if you fell off it would sweep right back under ya. Plus I got ya covered.” She said her wand popped out her sleeve, “Always ready.” She smirked. She tucked it back in her sleeve. She smiled at Matt’s next comment, “Really this is basic stuff to train with.” She gave him a grin. She hoped up and stood on her broom, “Now this takes some practice.” She said looking like a surfer on it she darted out of sight for a moment and then behind Matt soon after. “I like to push the limits.” She said jumping in the air and sitting on her broom sideways so that both her legs hung from one side.
Janet was sweet, and at times she was just like any other kid wanting to have fun, but she also was not to social, and friendship was a rare thing to find in her life, because, lets face it, Janet did not open up to just anyone. With Matt she felt that she had to warn him, just in case. Weird, but that was her first thought.

bout time i post, right? =p
-- And while Janet had a horrible past, he had his own. Although not to the extent of hers. He never killed anyone. Matt had hated himself, hated every fiber of his being. Had cut off all contact with everyone, but then things had begun to change. And now, everything was back to normal, for the most part anyway. "I'm glad you don't kill people anymore. That would really hinder our relationship." Matt joked. He wanted to make her feel better. He could see the pain in her eyes.
-- "That's kinda cool he came back as a ghost I guess. How does one come back as a ghost?" He asked curiously. Matt wondered if there was certain criteria you had to meet or something. "Oh hush. I don't think you're a train wreck at all. And I would tell you." He said smiling. For losing her brother, and her history, Matt admired her for being as...normal as she was. If anything like that had happened to him he was sure he would never be the same, not even close. But Janet seemed pretty stable.
-- A chuckle escaped his lips. "Whatever you say Janet." Matt said grinning and shaking his head. "They control everything. They're pretty much the supreme overlords." He continued playfully. But he knew the magical world would be in complete disarray without them. "Same. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want to cross him." It was funny to think of what muggles would believe. They would believe anything actually. He was very fortunate to grow up with parents who were very familiar with the muggle world. And they were lycans as well. How many kids could say they had wolves for parents?
-- "I wish you would have told me that earlier!" Matt exclaimed, but laughing. "But thanks. I feel a lot safer now, still hate heights, but I'm certainly not scared now." He stated grinning. It took him by surprise though. Someone was actually looking out for him. Then Janet was standing on her broom, and surfing. "Jeez Janet. You are a freak. That's all there is to it." Matt told her playfully. "I can barely fly normally." He said, still wondering how she could do it. Even though he was on a broom and was terrified of the heights, he was having a really good, and fun, time.

(I wasn't worried about it.)
It was strange how much Janet had changed in a rather short time, but when she was in a coma for so long she must have came to terms with things. She never spoke of it, but she felt like she was there with people watching them, like she could feel still. Strange but silent she wanted to remain, after all she was already a little crazy, no need to add to that. Janet smiled slightly, “Perhaps a bit.” She said about their relationship, funny the two people she had found confidence to be friends with had been non human. Her friend Christy had been gone for a time now. She could have gone back home, or to another school, Janet thought about her once and a while, but never spoke about her.
That was how Janet kept for the most part, silent about her life and things. Sometimes she wanted to stay in school just to adjust to people more, but then again, she hated the school and how they ran it.
“Oh, was I pissed off when he came back as a ghost, because it is hard to take in at first. I never really looked fully into it, but I guess you leave an imprint of yourself before you die. I haven’t figured out if it is intentional or not, however I think it is by speaking with some of the ghosts around these parts. But that Imprint continues a second life, well in a way I guess, if being a ghost forever suits you.” She said sounding like she had a slight bit of resentment toward ghosts. It may lie in the fact that she had no idea why someone would ever want to stick around this world after death.
She slightly had a cringe to her face, perhaps it was the muggle in her that did not like the idea, but whatever it was, she just did not seem to pleased with it. Yes she was happy that she had the opportunity to see her brother again, but was it really her brother?
Ghosts talk aside the Ministry she bout hated and praised. And it sure did a lot of good, and bad too. However there was no weeding out all the bad in the world, that was just impossible. She knew that. “Yea, with all those technological advances us wizards are going to be left in the dust. I wish Hogwarts would grow with the times and muggles too.” Was that off topic? Well it was in the air now, Janet realized that it was slightly random, or was it? She sometimes got confused, but did not feel embarrassed or worried with Matt around. Becides she would always take off that charm… (That was a playful thought!)
“But then it would not have been as fun.” She said smiling. “And I did tell you that you did not have to worry.” She continued as he watched her stand on her broom. “You just have to forget about fear.” Janet said knowing how vague that was, Janet was afraid of many things, but her life was not one of them. She took risks and it was quite often she acted without regards for her own life. At least now she was doing things for a good reason instead of a bad one.

-- Matt thought about being a lycan. He thought about how his parents had taught him everything he needed to know. How they used to run through the forest, and practice his hunting and tracking skills. The phasing part was still the worst. It wasn't horrible pain, but it was definitely uncomfortable. You just couldn't think about it too much. But he loved running through the forest, able to smell and hear everything in clarity. Of course he had heightened senses in his human form, but they were even more powerful in his wolf form. How he had hated everything about being a lycan, to him, it meant being a freak. But now, he really appreciated it, and felt special rather than an outcast. He wasn't a monster.
-- And he had tried to make people see that by getting to know them first. Then Matt thought about what he had done to his parents. When he put off all contact with them, had left the school, and lived in the forest. Eating whatever he could. Doing odd jobs here and there. But it was never enough. Finally things had turned around. On one hand, he was unhappy he had wasted that part of his life, but on the other hand, it certainly made him appreciate things a lot more.
-- Matt was slightly surprised by Janet's reaction. But he listened to her reason. "Oh. I get it." He said, taking it all in. "Now that you say that. I wouldn't want to live forever, especially as a ghost. How depressing." He said, shaking the hair out of his eyes. Having a blocked vision couldn't be good when you were sitting on a broom. "I still don't understand why you were pissed at your brother coming back as a ghost. I mean, if it's an imprint of him, it has to have some of his characteristics. Isn't it kind of like leaving your...soul, so to speak, in this world?" Matt asked, trying to make even more sense of what Janet had said. Maybe he would have to look that up later or something.
-- He nodded in agreement. "Yes. The magical world is cool, don't get me wrong, it just seems like their stuck in the middle ages or something. Can't they update just a little?" The question was a rhetorical one. The castle was awesome, but it was gloomy and outdated. And everything just seemed so old and outdated. It couldn't hurt to grow a little, everything needed to change every once in a while. Especially with all the new witches and wizards coming into Hogwart's. All the needed were new people, a new generation to the ministry and to Hogwart's.
-- "But still, don't expect me to do any trick stunts or anything." Matt said playfully, a smile spreading across his lips. "I will probably have to work on that." He continued lightly. Forgetting fear to him, was like forgetting he had a leg, or forgetting he was a lycan. For so long he had lived in fear, it was more or less just a part of him now.

(not my best but I did not want to make you wait any longer-plus I have today off from work ) Janet could understand that her reaction was strange to her brothers untypical return. She really did not have any good excuses for it, but being rational had not always been a strong point. “Well, when he came back I was really just trying to understand things, and still had some serious things to work out. Before he died he was turned into a vampire. I think I was so mad because his imprint was made after that, not before. I did not feel like it was really Terry.” She said, her hatred to vampires was still very dominant, it sure was a good think Matt was a Lycan and not a vampire, because that may not have gone so well… “Vampires are still on the short list, just to give you a head up.” She said looking frustrated with herself and the situation. She was unable to shed that presumption so easily, and with that damn professor on her back she had good reason, even if she couldn’t share it. “At least we have plumbing.” She joked a little, trying to get back into a little happier mind set, death ghosts and vampires was not a great conversation in any setting, but hey se could always jump off her broom and free fall, that would be fun… “Ah, but you are going to work on it?” she ha a little smirk, so did she change his mind about flying around? It was the one bit of magic she fully enjoyed and really appreciated. Old fashion yes, but who can beat defying gravity? Janet also had to think that she was soon leaving Hogwats for good, after all she was in her last year and finally would be able to move on, not that she hadn’t made a life for herself already. It was that she wanted a real life, something that meant something, perhaps to someone… Janet was starting to feel lonely, lonely in a sense that she would never amount to anything of value, because her past sure did not look well in her eyes.
