Matt had spent nearly all day with Airan, not that he minded, but he needed some fresh air. It was growing dark out and most of the other students were indoors. He didn't need to bother with wearing robes or anything. It wasn't like he was roaming through the halls.
He hard owls hoot in the owelry and the crickets chirping. Matt still knew his way around Hogwart's, which surprised him. He wished he hadn't dropped out, but there was really nothing he could do about it now. Maybe talk to the Headmaster or something. He shook his head and breathed in a lungfull of fresh air. He padded along until he came to the courtyard. The stars looked beautiful tonight. He sat down in the soft green grass and stretched his arms out behind him.
A breeze rustled his hair and felt good against his warm skin. Being a lycan had its perks, especially in the winter, but he was always hot. He hardly phased anymore though since he was always with Airan, or always around others, and he hated the way it hurt. He picked up on someone coming up behind him. Matt didn't even bother to turn around, "Who's there?" He asked calmly.

Janet was sick of being inside, first Hogwarts then Mungo’s she felt like she was never outside anymore. It was getting dark, the exact time she should not be outside wondering about, but she did not care at this moment, she had enough people telling her what to do she was doing this for herself. The cool air hit her skin and she smiled breathing in the fresh smell or clean air. She did not wear the school robes, and did not look like a student either. She was 19 years old, a seventh year for the second time and had enough in her past to fill textbook’s for quite some time.
Jeans and a black long-sleeved shirt on and her hair, now shorter then it had been was a little messy but not bad. Blue eyes darted along the path and found their way to the courtyard, nice and quiet at this time, no people to annoy her, and freedom to enjoy the ease of nature, that was until a voice came out from the ground, rather the boy laying on the ground.
He eyes rolled, she was not mad at the boy rather herself for not beige so diligent in noticing him. She had changed for sure with her last stay at Mungo’s, that was a fact. “Janet, and you are?” she asked suddenly her voice clear even though she was not so much on the same page.

The voice was clearly female and it introduced herself as Janet. "Matt." He said flatly. She didn't sound too happy, and Matt didn't blame her. After all, he didn't even go to the school and here he was, taking up space. It didn't matter though, she could go to the opposite end and stay far away from him. Matt sat up and turned to look at the girl, who was fairly pretty. But she wasn't her type, and then again he was dating a guy who was aboslutely perfect. Matt wondered what Airan was up to right now, probably studying. He got easily side tracked when they were both together. He chuckled slightly at the memories.
The weather was still pretty warm, but at least it wasn't muggy out so much. And the dark didn't bother him as his eyes were perfectly adjusted for darkness. "You don't sound to enthused about me sitting here." Matt said, not caring what she thought, he could at least sound half way considerate. But what would she do if she told him to move? Oh well, he didn't exactly want to make enemies at the moment. He wasn't even supposed to be here after all. Of course there had been a few close calls, but other than that Matt had stayed hidden, but seriously considered going back to Hogwarts.

Janet listened to the boy flatly say his name, and she let out an inaudible sigh. She looked at him when he turned to see what she looked like most undoubtedly. She wondered what he was doing out here so late, but he would have the same questions about her, and if a professor saw her roaming about she could indeed get into some sort of trouble, that she was very used to.
He most have noticed her slight agitation, “No. You are more then welcome to be here, just wasn’t expecting anyone out here is all.” She said speaking a half truth, telling someone they where mad with themselves for not be on guard all the time was a little bit of a turn off, in fact her doctor had been trying to get her to be less hard core and apparently it was working.
“Nice night to be out.” She commented, small talk was not her forte but any means and what type of conversation would she start anyway? She stood still taking in the night air, should I sit or continue on? her thoughts wondered slightly, she remembered spending many nights outside, and alone.

Matt smiled. "Same here. And I was thinking. But I don't want to bore you with my life story." He said. He hated when people thought he cared about their history. Honestly, when it was someone he knew, like Airan, he wanted to get to know them, to know everything about them. But if it was a total stranger, he always felt uncomfortable that someone would trust a stranger with their life story.
"It is. I couldn't stay in that gloomy castle all day. I don't know how you people do it." Matt said, then realized what he had actually spoken. Great, now was the time she would figure out he was a creature, that he wasn't supposed to be here and go tell the head honcho. Then he would get kicked out, and poor Airan would get in trouble as well. Matt didn't want to lose him.
Matt smiled at her. "You can sit if you want. I don't bite." Which under normal circumstances would have cracked him up, with him being a lycan and all. But he didn't bite humans, and he rarely fed upon animals so he totaly ruined that joke for himself. "Oh, I feel rude. It's nice to meet you." Matt said honestly. He hoped now that she wouldn't run off and tell the nearest teacher he wasn't supposed to be here. But he didn't think he could ever be rude. Of course with his appearance, people just assumed how he acted.

Janet listened, and she agreed she did not want to hear about his life story, and she was sure he felt the same about her own life. Needless to say with hoe many people went to Hogwarts odds where slim to be seeing him again, thus why go into any sort of detail. However her stance must have noticabley change when he said you people. This choice of words could mean one of two things.
You people, as in humans, or you people as in students. Either way she was not rather pleased about it. Janet was well known to have her issues with the non human kind. Mostly vampires but those of other creation did bother her. That was just the icing on her meetings at Mungo’s, now she was going to be put to a test of sitting with someone she felt was inhuman?
’Perhaps he is simply not a student?’ her thoughts where very unsure of themselves. She had been improving, in fact her friend was a fearie, a step in the right direction for sure. However she was sure this boy was not of that creature. Then he offered her to sit, she was unsure as to her actions. “Well, with that reassurance.” She said not really all that thrilled, but she knew that this anger and fear had to be overcome if she was ever going to be part of the magical world.
“I consider myself to be rather rude, so you don’t have anything to worry about.” She said sitting down near him but not directly next to him. That was for many reasons among them were lack of trust, and discomfort. “I take it you do not go to Hogwarts then.” She said figuring that was the safer of the two options to pick. She knew straight out asking someone if they where not human was never a good start. She was doing her best to keep that idea in the back of her mind, but it was not easy.

Matt really tried not to read her thoughts, but it was hard. Of course he hadn't ever been taught how to control this special power of his. But it was no use, he was tired and stressed and tried to just ignore them. But she guessed he was a creature, and she had been right. Only because of his carelessness. Something must have happened. But he didn't want to pry. He concentrated and ignored her thoughts, for the time being.
"Around here I think it's a nice thing to add." He sated honestly. Matt just shrugged at her admitted she was rude. What would someone say to that? After all he had known her for a very short time, and already she didn't like him because of what he was. If he had it his way, he wouldn't be a lycan either. He hated the phasing, the feeding and hunting. Everything. it made him feel like such a monster, and it seemed everyone else thought the same.
He was starting to accept it though, and it was one of the things he had been thinking about. But now janet was here, and he didn't want to seem stand-offish. He didn't even think it was odd that she didn't sit so close to him. He really didn't blame her for it. So close to being off the hook. "Erm...no. Not exactly." Matt said hesitantly. Of course he wasn't going to hide anything from her, but he wasn't going to tell her anything unless she asked.

Janet had never once been so unobservant. In the past she could tell a person’s make and model sort of speak within a few moments of speaking or being near them. Now she was hesitant, shy and locked down. She was not sure if Mungo’s was making her stronger or weaker. She slightly wondered if he could enter her thoughts, yet another talent lost in the dusk of insanity.
She did not really smile at all, and had a rather cold expression for the majority of time she was around anyone. She had a hard time relating to anyone and sure enough she would not relate to this boy either, she figured at least. She had a wondering mind lately, and her thoughts were always overcoming her to such a degree that she felt worried about things and herself. ’What if I don’t make it through this year? was a common one on her mind, twice she was in critical condition at Mungo’s and once pronounced dead. ’why do I even fight anymore, I have nothing left to live for anyway…’ The thoughts came and went like they where common ground, and they where for Janet. No matter the time of day, nor the people she would be with they came into her head and played with her mind and heart.
“Visiting then?” she asked him after he said not really, perhaps he was a relative? Janet still was uneasy, not that regular people did not set her the same way either, however knowing that he was some sort of creature in the back of her mind bothered her to a great deal. Sitting next to anyone whom she thought was a creature was a hard test that she was currently passing. She kept her heart rate down, and that urge to harm him at bay. So many times in the past, it was just so easy…

Matt sat there, practically smoldering in his shirt. He would love to just run throught the forest, wind rushing through his fur. It was so unlike him to think like this, but he couldn't help it. He was sick of ignoring his lycan side, he was sick of hiding it. If Airan could accept it, then he could too. But he was still goinh to try to hid if from strangers. All he wanted to do was fit in.And he only caught bits and pieces of her thoughts as he was confronting his own inner delima. And he had no desire to hear her thoughts actually. He didn't need any more to think about. And to be honesty, she seemed like the sulky type. Matt hardly sukled, mostly just thought and pondered.
"Kind of. And I can't simply answer yes or now. You probably wouldn't want to hear the story anyway. But I assure you, I am not here to cause trouble. And I'm going to be honest with you, since you already know, I'm a lycan, but most days I hate it." Matt rambled on, most of his thoughts pouring out of his mouth. He couldn't believe he was saying these things. She was scared enough as it is. "But I don't want you to be scared of me. Please." Matt said, looking into her eyes, pleading with her. Matt honestly didn't want to cause any trouble, and he hoped she would just believe him.

Janet was suddenly surprised out of her thoughts but him announcing his breed, sort of speak. He assured her that she should not be scared, and that he was not one to like his situation, things she had all heard many times in the past. “Well, it is not you whom I am afraid of.” She said looking away, “It is myself.” She stated, clearly being honest was the direction of the night. “I have murdered countless Lycans and many more vampires. It is a constant pull that I must fight against. So no I am nor scared of what you will do it is me that I am concerned about.” She said looking away, the thought of looking at him made her feel like she could go over the edge.
She had been, in a way, sober for nearly a year. “I am quite sure you don’t care to hear my story either, so if we could just get past this it would be much appreciated.” She said looking at the sky, studying the stars. “Perhaps another topic would be better, because silence does not seem to suit us well.” She said noting on the fact that they both had blurted out information that was considered private news in the mist of such a short silence.
“Perhaps you enjoy a sport? Myself I am a chaser on the Ravenclaw team.” She said changing the subject to the first thing she could think of. Quidditch was what saved her life at times, a focus and drive on something other then hunting. It allowed her to have a real life, and no longer have mixed delusions and aided her in healing. Having a split personality disorder was never a walk in the park. A mental case, that was what she was, and thus the only reason she was not imprisoned for her past crimes.

Matt kept looking at her, even as she looked away from him and listened to her every word. So she was a hunter...Matt was suddenly kind of nervous. But then again, he had done nothing wrong in the first place. She would be murdering an innocent being. And what would happen to his poor Airan? He shook the horrible thoughts from his mind. "Yeah. And I'm sure you probably wouldn't tell me." He said chuckling, trying to lighten the serious mood. He couldn't ever be serious for very long. "No, I don't like silence that much." He admitted. Unless he was in a really foul mood and was being angsty.
Sports, now there was something. "I love quidditch! A bit scared to play myself, but I used to love going to matches. And that's awesome!" Matt said with a big smile. With the sudden change in mood and attitude, with his senses still on edge from Janet admitting she was a hunter, and it being dark, he became hotter. He hated his adnormal body heat. And suddenly his tight shirt felt...too tight. "Please excuse me Janet." Matt said as he took off his shirt quickly, laying it next to him in the grass. "Much better." He sighed as the cool air rushed across his bare chest.

The situation was tense on both ends it seemed, however she was still doing well even with her mind a wonder of things. His slight chuckle did manage to get a little grin out of her, but it faded quick too. He seemed to agree silence was not a really good topic, and thus it was a refreshing change to the subject of quidditch. “I started playing for my house team about… my fifth year. I started as a beater but this year decided to be a chaser. It involves more team work. I do enjoy all the positions, and agree that it looks rather dangerous, however that is why I picked it.” She said looking at him now.
She was slightly surprised that he removed his shirt, boys she thought for a moment and smiled. She did not think creature, or thing rather a feature that is common in humans and lycans. It was a good thought, until she suddenly realized she was smiling after he took of his shirt, no need to have him the wrong impression. “Flying on a broom is a wonderful feeling, have you ever given a go with friends? Games are brutal at times but practices can be quite tame.” She said to him. There where many students with the same ideals as him, great game but it was a bit dangerous, and … scary.

Matt caught the small glimpse of her grin. It suited her better than the constant frown she wore. But it was gone as quick as it appeared. But his body heat was perfect now, the precise balance of hot and cold he loved. "Cool." Matt said smiling, and listening to her every word. Her gaze finally returned to him. "I'd play, but I'm such a klutz sometimes." He continued laughing at himself.
Then Janet smiled again. "You know you really should smile more. Not that it's any of my buisiness." He told her, with a mischevious smile on his face. She would probably yell at him for it, but he was trying to speak his mind more, not worry about what other people thought. He shrugged. "I've flown a couple times, not enough to make the team or anything. But I'm really passive when it comes to working on a team." Matt admitted sheepishly. It wasn't anything to be embarassed about, but it was true.

Janet had never, in her life been a klutz… then again when she was learning her craft as a young girl she was a little problematic, being muggle born one was never to sure of what was going on with her. However those years had gone and past so long now that she doubted she was even close to the same person anymore. It was a time when her brother was still around, and she actually spoke to her parents like they where a family.
“Well, it is one of my flaws.” She said stressing one, because she had too many to count in deed. “lets just say I have been working on that, but thank you.” She said to him not really sure if that was the correct thing to say. It was a complement right? She was not to worried about it, If she sounded ditsy, dumb or even a typical blonde she did not care, even if her real hair color was blonde, she never had it that shade, it reminded her too much of her brother Terry, she did miss him..
“I find flying to be quite freeing, nothing above or below you… well besides the broom that is.” She said fully happy about the subject, it was as she had thought earlier her savior after it all. It was a challenge and a calling. It made her real again. “I actually have been thinking of working up to be on a professional team, but I don’t want to sound to cocky. I guess a second flaw…” she said feeling like she was the best player out there, at least at Hogwarts. However she was still learning and still had her bad days like the rest of the world.
“Team work has never been a positive on my side, hence why I started out as a beater, not much there except smashing the bludger. However chaser is far more challenging. I is hard to work as a team and even more communicate with each other in such a face paced environment.” Janet said speaking like she was slightly opening up a little, however her ease was merely an illusion, she was always hard to the core.
ooc: Don't worry about it, I am fully enjoying such an active thread, it has been far to long. Thank you! Janet needed to get out, lol

Matt chuckled as she emphasized one. "I have tons of flaws." He said shaking his head. "Your welcome." He continued grinning. It had been intended as a compliment and suggestion in one. Of course he wasn't one to be Mr. Smiley all the time either. But lots of things in his life had begun to turn around for him. "Eh, I'm kind of scared of heights as well." He said laughing. He had never been fond of going up the astronomy tower or the owelry.
He shook his head. "That doesn't make you sound cocky. It sounds like you just know exactly what you want to do, where you want to go." Matt said reasurringly, and honestly. He was always pretty honest with people. And he admired people for knowing what they wanted to do. Matt just kinf of lived day to day, just going with the flow.
"Kudos to you for attempting to play the game, and extra ones for being the beater." Matt could never do something that dangerous. Being a lycan was enough for him really. That gave him enough trouble. Now a flying dog, that would be halarious. He wondered if he woudl get in trouble for it. "Well, I've really been thinking about re-enrolling at Hogwart's. Granted I'm like 18, and I haven't been to school since...like 4th year." He said laughing, but shaking his head, his hair falling in his eyes. "It sounds stupid I know, but Airan really wants me to join again..." He said, but stopped himself from saying anything more.
ooc;; Your welcome, but I need to thank you for replying! =D
